Veluwe, Arnhem & Nijmegen

The Veluwe is a vast area in the Dutch province of Gelderland, about 30 km east of Arnhem and just 20 km southeast of Nijmegen. It's home to beautiful nature reserves, such as De Hoge Veluwe National Park and Veluwezoom National Park.
This park offers stunning views and miles of terrain for hikers and bikers. It's also home to scenic heathland, country estates, houses, and castles.
There are also famous museums like the Kröller-Müller Museum and Het Loo Palace. Many small towns offer excellent restaurants and zoos with animals from all over the world--the Veluwe is perfect for any occasion!

If you're looking for an oasis in the green forest, head to Arnhem. The diversity of this area's parks makes it a pleasant place to stroll, enjoy a picnic, or just relax. But there's so much more for you to explore here: for example, Arnhem is a fashion design and art city with its famous Modekwartier (fashion district), ArtEZ collections from their art and fashion academy, and Sevenstraatjes with seven unique streets.
Discover historic sites or retrace the Liberation Route while admiring the monuments and places of remembrance associated with the famous Battle of Arnhem.

Nijmegen has been a hub of culture for a long time. Its compact medieval center offers all of the urban cool you could want from a big city but with easy access to beautiful landscapes. So whether you're here for just one or two days or stay for the entire summer season, there's undoubtedly something that suits your lifestyle.

Near the town of Hasselt, a little to the south, you'll find De Liemers. Here, you can visit the River Rhine running through glorious river lands as they flow into the Netherlands from Germany. You can also recreate and enjoy Dutch treats here in De Bijland, which surrounds the Vesdrieuzekanaal.
The Kröller-Müller museum in Gelderland, just miles from Arnhem and Nijmegen, boasts a world-famous collection of 19th and 20th-century art and an immense collection of pieces by Vincent van Gogh.

Take a culinary tour through the region and enjoy various experiences. You can experience everything at a farmhouse garden restaurant, from some of the best local specialties to international cuisine. All while indulging in one of the many Dutch dishes, such as pancakes with syrup!
