The Transardennaise Bike Trail

The Transardennaise, 164 km in 4 stages, is one of the greatest classic hikes to discover Belgium’s most beautiful landscapes of the Ardennes. You start from La Roche-en-Ardenne, a town situated 220 m above sea level and dominated by the ruins of a medieval castle. You will ride your bike along the small country roads. The first town you cross is Saint-Hubert, the European capital of nature and hunting, and then through the Masblette Valley, an agricultural area. After Mirwart, you cross the Marsau and the Haute-Lesse valleys direction Daverdisse via the book village of Redu. The next day, after the climb to Rochehaut to see the magnificent views on the “Tomb of the Giant”, you will reach Bouillon, the oldest capital of the duchy with his medieval castle dominating the town.

This route is divided into 4 stages for 164 km in total freedom without a guide! You will discover the charms of the great forest of Saint- Hubert and enjoy the most beautiful panoramas, such as the one on the “Tomb of the Giant” near Bouillon.

The Transardennaise is the ideal solution for all types of cyclists: unmarked trail (GPX tracks provided), quality accommodation, luggage transport, guidance application, and information on the region.
