Alsatian Escapade

Bordering Germany and Switzerland, the Alsace region has flitted between French and German control over the years, resulting in the most intriguing milieu of architectural styles and cultural influences in the region. This tour will allow you to experience the melange yourself. From your base in the idyllic city of Strasbourg—with its copious canals and quaint wooden-beamed houses—you will head off to explore a variety of villages, most notably Colmar, the home of Alsatian wine which is nestled amidst rolling vineyards and peppered with colourful floral displays and traditional houses. You’ll then be transported back in time to the tiny medieval (and romantic!) village of Riquewihr, which is famous for its Riesling and looks the same today as it did in the 16th Century. Followed up by a whole day visiting wineries and producers of the area’s finest white wines, this is the perfect tour for the lovers of vin blanc!
