Douro41 is a contemporary-designed hotel situated on a hill along the left bank of the Douro River, halfway between Porto and the Douro wine region, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. The structure makes extensive use of glass and schist to integrate and recreate the typical natural terraces of the Douro landscape. Balconies, terraces, large windows, and glass walkways bring the outside nature into the hotel, where natural materials, neutral tones, and sophisticated and minimal furnishings are used. Two wonderful infinity pools, one on a terrace and one on the roof, offer breathtaking views of the river and the surrounding valley. The hotel has a beautiful spa equipped with a sauna, Turkish bath, indoor heated pool, emotional showers, a pool with an internal circuit, and large windows for moments of pure relaxation with a view. Products and treatments are provided by the Irish brand Moss Of The Isles, and there is also a 24-hour gym equipped with weights, treadmills, elliptical bikes, and a Pilates ball.
