Hotel De Paris is a stylish hotel in the centre of Saint Tropez, whose walls are steeped in history. Opened in 1931, it quickly became a favourite for artists and celebrities, from Clark Gable to Jean-Paul Sartre, witnessing the height of Saint-Tropez’s golden era. In recent years, the property has been completely refurbished and now boasts a marvellous contemporary design that plays with five themes: the Sixties, the Mediterranean, water, women and Brigitte Bardot, whose photos are scattered around the hotel. Some of the most striking features include walls embellished with lace-like white rosettes, majestic chandeliers and panoramic bay windows.
For breakfast, guests can feast on the buffet treats and à la carte specialities served in the lovely patio of La Pationata restaurant. Then they can opt for a sunny lunch or a dinner under the stars at Les Toits, the rooftop restaurant specialized in Mediterranean dishes served with sweeping views over the Gulf of Saint Tropez. During the day drinks and snacks are available at the hotel’s two bars, one on the rooftop and the other in the lobby.
