An Art Deco mansion by the sea where champagne flows freely and a green light blinks at the tip of a wooden jetty

At the edge of Cap d'Antibes, Belles Rives Hotel is an Art-Deco Palace with direct access to the beach whose legend started in 1930 thanks to world-famous writter Francis Scott Fitzgerald's stay. It features a Valmont care area, sandy private beaches, lounge, massage area, sun lounge, restaurant and water sports and hosts themed entertainment with DJ "Les villas Belles Rives" from June to August. Haute-cuisine restaurant "La Passagère" (1* in Michelin book) and award-winning bar "Fitzgerald" extend to the spacious panoramic terrace which offers a breathtaking view of Juan-les-Pins bay and the Lerins islands. Valet parking service available.

Rooms

Many guest rooms and suites offer water views, too — deluxe rooms have balconies — though some look out over the gardens. The aesthetic upstairs is elegant but modern, inspired by the Jazz Age with decorative Hermès wallpaper, mirrored lamps, and sophisticated gold and silver accents. Each features a Nespresso machine and a pretty tiled bathroom stocked with Penhaligon’s products. Save for the suites, the accommodations aren’t terribly large; but in a setting as dreamy as this, with the promise of waterskiing and seaside cocktail-sipping outside, you’re unlikely to spend much time hanging around the room.
