Discover the Itria Valley, an area characterized by the extraordinary "Trulli", mythical houses with a conical roof built with overlapped dried limestone. Enjoy the beautiful countrysides dominated by rich vegetation and natural landscapes and visit Alberobello, Locorotondo and Ostuni, with their fairytale-like atmosphere.
Alberobello, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1996, has the most significant number of Trulli in the town of Puglia. Locorotondo is nicknamed "the balcony on the Itria Valley" because of its spectacular valley views. Considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, it's easy to get lost between picturesque narrow stone streets and tiny white houses with gable roofs called "Commerce". Ostuni is known as the "White City" par excellence. Situated on the Murge Hills with steep walls and a historic centre, Ostuni is painted only in white, is a proliferation of plans, ups and downs, alleys and stairways, and tangled streets that cross arches and squares. On its summit stands the monumental Cathedral, in late Gothic style.
Apulia is one of the most exciting areas in Italy for its food tradition; most of the inhabitants are still devoted to cultivation in small farms, where the quality is equal to the farmers' passion. You will have the chance to savour the best local produce in an authentic farmhouse near Locorotondo, where you will taste local wines, olive oil and fresh-made burrata cheese.
