Immerse in the city’s exceptional artistic heritage with a visit to the Frari Church and the School of St. Rocco

Your guide will meet you at Campo San Rocco, in the heart of the San Polo district, and will take you on a fascinating journey through some of the most beautiful artistic treasures in town. You will learn about the life and works of great Venetian artists like Titian and Tintoretto, as you visit major landmarks such as the 14th-century Frari Church. Its rather plain facade hides Titian’s most celebrated painting of the “Assumption of the Virgin Mary”, as well as other important artworks by Giovanni Bellini and Paolo Veneziano. The tour will then continue to the School of St. Rocco, the confraternity founded in 1478 by a group of wealthy Venetians. Here you will admire some of Tintoretto’s most important works illustrating episodes from the New and Old Testaments, alongside works by Giorgione, Titian and Tiepolo.
