Discover the highlights of Puglia.

From the coastal to the inland towns. A tour to discover the real beauty of Apulian cities and towns by visiting the most enchanting and unique places that this region can offer.
Start with a walking tour of Bari's old town, head inland to the medieval village of Alberobello, known for its distinctive prehistoric-style Trulli dwellings. Visit the ancient cave city at the Sassi of Matera, where homes and churches are carved directly to the rock in a complex stone labyrinth.
Learn about the city's history and see Bari Cathedral, Basilica di San Nicola and Piazza Ferrarese in Bari.
Next, head to Alberobello. Get a glimpse of what life was like inside the Trulli and marvel at its unique buildings. These cone-shaped drywall houses, built in the 14th century, are regarded by UNESCO as remarkable examples of prehistoric construction techniques that still survive today. Then depart to Matera. Visit the Sassi of Matera, the ancient caves from 30,000 years ago. Your English speaking guide will walk you through the history of these cave-houses. Over the centuries, more than 150 little churches and hermitages were carved into the cliffside, and by the 18th century, a community was flourishing here.
